Pool Safety Inspections
Post the 1st of December 2015 it is a requirement that all regulated pools are compliant with Queensland Development Code – MP3.4 – Swimming pool barriers.
Stuart is a qualified swimming pool safety inspector and can provide the necessary inspection services to ensure your swimming pool meets the requirements of MP 3.4.
It is also a requirement under the Queensland Development Code that upon sale or lease of a property, which has a pool, a pool safety certificate should be readily available.
These certificates are valid for 1 year where a shared pool (within a group or common title) and 2 years for a non shared pool, located within a stand alone house or town house.
It is mandatory to provide a pool fence if you have a swimming pool which includes spa pools, spa baths continually filled with a water depth of more than 300mm and wading pools (other than a portable wading pool). Therefore when purchasing a swimming pool, including above ground and portable pools, owners should be mindful of their obligations to install a compliant barrier. We can advise you of your responsibilities during the inspection of your pool.
Our philosophy is quite simple – “The right inspection and the right advice”.
